Building a brand is an exciting new step for an individual. The most important part of your brand is the why. This speaks to the value that you have to offer to the world. So it isn’t so much a question about why are you doing this, but rather a question of why does this need to exist.
Once that is understood and you have something to say, the next part is do figure out how to say it. For some, this is where design comes in. See graphic design isn’t just making a cool picture, it is problem solving. Often times it is used to solve the problem of how best to communicate your why, which is where strategy comes in.
It is exciting to see your vision come to life, and you may have a lot of enthusiasm over the possibilities for you in the future. For that reason, it is very important to have this perspective: passion is nothing without structure. It is a shame to have something great to share and no strategic way to share it. So think about how you want to communcate and then execute.
